# Rijles

> Rijles is software for driving instructors and driving schools. Plan lessons, manage students, track lesson credit and let students pay online with iDEAL via Mollie.

Rijles is a web app (no install needed) for independent driving instructors and driving schools, mainly in the Netherlands. It is available in Dutch and English.

## Features

- **Lesson planning**: Plan a lesson in a few taps. See your week day by day, move or cancel lessons, and mark them as completed or no-show.
- **Student management**: Contact details, license category, private notes and the full lesson history of every student, together.
- **Online payments with iDEAL**: Send a payment request for, say, 10 lessons. Students pay through Mollie with iDEAL or credit card; the money goes straight to your own Mollie account.
- **Lesson credit tracking**: Paid lessons are added automatically and lessons taken are deducted. You see right away which students are running low.
- **Student portal**: Students log in to see their planned lessons, your feedback per lesson, their remaining credit and open payments.
- **Built for teams**: Invite instructors to your driving school. They plan lessons for all students; only you as the owner see payments and prices.
- **Automatic emails**: Students are notified automatically when a lesson is planned, moved or cancelled, get a reminder the day before, and are told about payment requests.
- **CBR exams**: Plan practical exams and interim tests with CBR location and table number, and record the result.
- **Self-booking**: Set your availability and let students book or cancel lessons themselves, within your rules.
- **Progress card**: Track per student which skills have been explained, practised and mastered. The student sees it too.
- **Invoices and packages**: A VAT invoice for every payment automatically, lesson packages, instalments and an export for your bookkeeping.
- **Dutch and English**: The app and all emails are available in Dutch and English. Every user picks their own language.

## How it works

1. **Create an account**: Register your driving school, set your default lesson length and price, and optionally connect your Mollie account.
2. **Add your students**: Students get an invite by email and choose their own password.
3. **Plan lessons and get paid**: Plan lessons in your weekly overview and send payment requests. Every student's credit is tracked automatically.

## FAQ

### How much does Rijles cost?

€ 29 per month or € 290 per year (excl. VAT), with unlimited students. You first try it free for 30 days, without a credit card. After that you can cancel any month. Students pay nothing for the app.

### How do students pay for their driving lessons?

You send a payment request for a number of lessons from Rijles. The student pays online through Mollie, for example with iDEAL or credit card. The money goes straight to your own Mollie account and the lessons are added to their credit automatically.

### Do I need a Mollie account?

Only for online payments. You connect your Mollie account by entering your API key in the settings. Without Mollie, you can mark payments (for example cash or bank transfer) as paid manually.

### Can I use Rijles with several instructors?

Yes. As the owner you invite instructors to your driving school. They can see and add all students and plan lessons. Payments, prices and settings are only visible to the owner.

### What do my students see?

Students see their planned lessons, their lesson history with the feedback you give, their lesson credit and open payment requests. They don't see your private notes.

### How is lesson credit calculated?

Paid lessons are added to the credit. Lessons that took place, or where the student didn't show up, are deducted. Cancelled lessons don't count.

### Do I need to install an app?

No. Rijles works in the browser on your phone, tablet and computer.

### Which languages does Rijles support?

Dutch and English, both in the app and in the emails to students.
